The Need: Landlords are understandably worried about taking the necessary precautions with reopening their buildings. One case of COVID in a building could lead to a broader spread, potentially forcing the building to close and the tenants to go into lockdown.
There has been a lot of focus placed on access control and visitor management systems for tenants and guests, but there is another group of people that come in and out of buildings (and who travel between buildings) who need to be screened and managed: vendors.
Landlords need to be able to dynamically communicate building rules and regulations to vendors, collect health questionnaires, enforce social distancing in freight elevators and loading docks, abide by state and municipal COVID-19 compliance rules, collect liability waivers and digital signatures, allow vendors to do touchless check-in on their mobile device and monitor COVID-19 exposure via real-time log books and alerts.
Todayโs startup heard from multiple operators that they were in need of such a solution and rose to the occasion..

Description: Jones knows a thing or two about managing vendor risk. Jones is the provider of a comprehensive liability solution purpose-built for real estate that is being used by over 2,500 properties across America: from collecting and auditing insurance certificates to helping tenants and property managers source compliant vendors for their service needs, Jones gives buildings the tools they need to simplify compliance for every use case.
Now Jones has launched its new Vendor Re-entry software to help CRE owners and managers safely re-open properties and reduce COVID-19 liability with vendors. Major firms are already using the solution to manage each step of inviting vendors back to their properties, approving their entry, and ensuring that healthy vendors arrive on-site each day, so that they can safely operate properties during the crisis.
Pro Tip: To help NYC-based property managers operate more smoothly during these challenging times, Jones released their full list of vendors that have been approved for work across the many NYC commercial and residential buildings running on Jones. Get access to the vendor database here.
